Designed exclusively for children under age 18, this ongoing care program takes a proactive approach to nurturing the health and well-being of paediatric patients from an early age. And should illness strike, it allows members immediate access to paediatric care without the long waits that can come with traditional healthcare.

You can count on convenient access — including fast-tracked appointments for urgent matters — to paediatric doctors at our private clinics in Ottawa and elsewhere in Ontario as well as paediatric specialists in our network.

During wellness child visits, our paediatricians take the time to discuss your child's health in depth, including nutrition, sleep, mental health, and more.

A dedicated paediatric case coordinator
This individual serves as your primary point of contact, providing personalized guidance, support, and education to you and your child throughout their healthcare journey.
Customized care
We develop a personalized health plan based on your child's individual needs, with an emphasis on important areas such as growth, nutrition, and physical development.
Wellness child visits and much more
Enjoy access to a wide range of paediatric healthcare services, including unlimited wellness child visits as well as vaccinations, developmental screenings, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
Virtual care
Is your child experiencing non-emergency symptoms? With our virtual care platform, you can connect with one of our nurses from the comfort of your home any day between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. The nurse will analyse the situation and then pass on the information to one of our on-call paediatric doctors. In cases such as a urinary tract infection, the doctor can then send a prescription to your pharmacy. And when our clinic opens, you can bring in your child for an appointment.
On-site diagnostic imaging
Convenient in-house imaging services are available at our private health clinics in Ottawa and two other Ontario locations.
A focus on mental health
It's no secret that more and more children are struggling with anxiety, stress, and behavioural issues. Our paediatricians can collaborate with mental health specialists in our network to identify and address emotional and psychological concerns with your child.
International medical resources
La Vie is a referring provider for Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Cleveland Clinic, Mass General Brigham, Mayo Clinic, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and ROAMD (an international network of independent, membership-based physicians). As such, we offer seamless access to world-renowned medical professionals, advanced diagnostic technologies, and cutting-edge treatments. It's one more way we ensure your child receives the best possible care tailored to their specific needs.

Members Story: Meet the Johnson Family

When Mia was 8 years old, she woke up one night with severe abdominal pain. Uncertain of the cause, her parents rushed her to the emergency room at the local children's hospital. There, they had to wait over 10 hours to see a doctor. 

Fortunately, Mia was successfully treated. But the experience made it clear to the Johnsons that they needed a better solution for their family's healthcare needs. Soon after, they discovered the Next Generation Program. 

When Mia had a similar episode a few months later, her parents called La Vie. Within minutes, they were connected to a paediatric healthcare professional who guided them on next steps. 

The Johnsons were able to make a same-day appointment with La Vie, avoiding the chaos and long wait of an emergency room. During the visit, Mia's paediatrician conducted a thorough evaluation and ordered an ultrasound (available on site). The doctor reviewed the results and put together her care plan swiftly. 

Thanks to La Vie, Mia's parents now feel confident that she can always get the care she needs promptly, whether through in-person visits or virtual consultations.
